Bupa Great North Run 2011 · 18 September 2011 ·

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.

Story

Lilly was born with a rare Liver Diseae known as Biliary Atreisa a condition which affects 1 in every 10,000 babies born each year. At 7 weeks old Lilly underwent a major life saving operation, and had a procdure known as a Kasai , without this , Lilly would of died of Liver Failure.

3 years on and Lilly is doing well, her condition is stable , she is a very confident, lively , loving and beautiful daughter who brings such joy and love into our lives,

However Lilly's condition could can and there is a possibility she may need a Liver Transplant in the future.

We decided to take part in the The Great North Run, and Lilly is our inspiration, and we would like to raise money and give thanks to the people and the hospital's who all played their part into saving Lilly's Life

*King's College in London

*Birmingham Children's Hospital

* The Royal Shrewsbury Hospital ( Children's Rainbow Ward)

please sponsor us or donate to this worthwhile and special cause

more information can be found at The Children's Liver Disease Foundation

many thanks Kelly and Richard Stewart
