We provide homes, schools, and healthcare to transform the lives of Kenyan children.

Story

The Kelvin Loaf Project is a breadmaking not-for-profit enterprise which provides an affordable food staple to the residents of Kibera slum in Nairobi. The project is managed by Kenya Children's Home , an orphanage supported by the Scottish charity The Balcraig Foundation (see justgiving.com/kch for more information and www.kenyachildrenshome.org.uk ).

A Kelvin Loaf costs 10 pence to make and thus is sold for 10 pence. We also have a bread distribution project, whereby supporters can donate to Kelvin Loaf (in multiples of 10 pence) for loaves to be given for free to the most needy. Donations made through this page to The Kelvin Loaf Project will be use to bake and distribute free loaves of bread.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support the Kelvin Loaf project : the Balcraig Foundation will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 25% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.
