Kelvin's "Triathlon of Fun!"

What does a "triathlon of fun" entail, I hear you ask? 

Well for a man with a belly like mine, it means a lot of hard work, sweat and pain, training to get myself around all three of the events in respectable times!

I will be taking part in:

The London Triathlon on August 1st,

The Windsor Half Marathon on September 27th and

The Barcelona Triathlon on October 18th

 

I will be trying to raise £1000 for UNICEF's UNITE FOR CHILDREN, UNITE AGAINST AIDS campaign.

The money that I raise will go to help UNICEF's work supporting orphans and vulnerable children affected by AIDS.

Almost every minute of every day, a child dies from an AIDS related illness and four young people are infected with HIV.  A staggering 15 million children have been orphaned by AIDS-related causes and many are left to care for younger siblings.  By 2010 it is estimated that this number will have increased to 20 million!

UNICEF is the leading children's organisation, reaching children in more than 150 countries around the world.  UNICEF is not funded by the UN, instead, it relies on voluntary donations to fund their work for children world wide.

 

I know that at the moment, money is tight for a lot of us, but the difference that a couple of quid makes is significant, if you could give what you can, that would be great.....
