Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Mercy Ships gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!

In 2007 I did a sponsored climb of Mount Kilimanjaro to raise money for Mercy Ships.  My new project is walk the Pilgrimage route "Camino Ingles" (the English route) from Ferrol to Santiago de Compostela in northern Spain.  The distance is about 120km and I hope to do within a week.  I shall be in my 70th year when I do it and perhaps at my age I should know better!  But I am determined to raise as much as I can for this wonderful charity whilst I am still fit enough to do so.  If any of you belong to an organisation which would like a talk on Mercy Ships, Kilimanjaro or subsequently Santiago, please let me know.  My wife and I are on the Speaker Panel for Mercy Ships.

Every £7 raised will pay for a major operation.  Thank you on behalf of the desperately poor people of West Africa.
