About the charity : Friends of Amani (UK) formerly Guerba for Good Friends of Amani (UK) formerly Guerba for Good
Amani Children's Home takes care of orphans and street-children at the foot of Mt. Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. It rescues children from malnutrition, homelessness, and abuse. Amani supports over 140 children and is committed to providing a safe place for children to grow in mind, body and spirit. See www.amanikids.org.

Kennington to Cape Town!

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us both on our journey for a great cause.

Camilla and I are driving in our Land Rover Defender, called Biggles, from Kennington, South London to Cape Town, South Africa. Our 20,000 mile journey will take us through 26 different countries and will take us 8 months to complete.

The purpose of our trip is to raise much needed funds for The Amani Children's Home in Tanzania. Amani, meaning peace in Swahili, supports displaced street children and orphans with HIV. We will be spending some time with the children when we reach Tanzania in January and will have the opportunity to see first hand how the funds we've raised are helping the children.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: the Amani Children's Home will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
