I was diagnosed with breast cancer six months after remarrying. (The photo's from my wedding). It was a massive shock but I think I've been very lucky. I got through all my treatments pretty well considering, including 3 ops and an eventual mastectomy with reconstruction; chemo; radiotherapy and hormone therapy. Others haven't faired so well. I'm doing this for Karen (a Mum at my girls' school) who sadly lost her fight, inspirational Karen no 2 who is still having treatment and is just amazing, and also for the lovely Velda who hasn't got breast cancer but is pretty poorly with pancreatic cancer. (I think I can squeeze her in, can't I?) I'm also doing the Edinburgh Moonwalk with some lovely Scottish lassies, and Amazon Heart Thunder, a sponsored motorbike ride from Aviemore to London, also for breast cancer so please see my other page too.
