Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

After over 8 years of competitive rowing I've finally managed to ditch the boat and blades and have been training the last six months for a half Ironman!

This means I'll be swimming 1900m, cycling 56 miles (90km) and running (well plodding) a half-marathon - 13.1 miles (21.1km).  I'm doing it in Rapperswil - just along the lake from Zurich in Switzerland.

During my time rowing I've been lucky enough to have the support from my clubs (Hawke's Bay Rowing Club (NZ), Hamilton Rowing Club (NZ) and City of Oxford Rowing Club (UK)) with boats, blades and gym equipment.  I've also seen the amazing journey people can take by learning to row - either as a teenager or adult.  Rowing has been such a bit part of my life, I now have the opportunity to give a little back.
