DEBRA is the national charity that supports individuals and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) – a painful genetic skin blistering condition which, in the worst cases, can be fatal. We fund pioneering research and provide care and support to individuals and families living with EB.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

As most of you are aware my 10 Month old daughter Monet suffers from the rare skin condition Epidermoylsis Bullosa Dystrophic (EB)

Monet is a happy lively child who always has a smile on her face however when it comes to lancing her blisters and dressing her sores it can be a very upsetting process for us both not to mention painful for Monet.

EB is currently incurable.

In its most severe forms, EB is fatal in infancy and can cause fatal skin cancer in young adults, However in its mildest forms it can cause lifelong disability and pain.

unfortunately EB recieves no government funding.

Debra is the only chairty supporting the condition, providing expert team of nurses to work directly with families affected by EB, visiting them at home and by being on call 24 hours a day.

The chairty also commissions world- leading research into the condition with the aim of finding effective treatment and hopefully a cure.

As metioned above it relies entirely on your generosity to carry out its vital work, improving lives and giving hope so please, please, please make that sponsor and help to make EB suffers lives just that little bit more comforatable
