I have now successfully completed my 10,000 feet skydive :)

This will certainly be a day I will remember for the rest of my life, but what I’ll remember more is the fact that I overcame the fear and jumped with a smile, knowing that the money I’ve raised will go to an amazing charity, which will enable them to continue to provide support and advice for those in need. Giving something to a charity that saves lives will be a feeling I will remember forever. Thank you all once again for your fantastic support - couldn't have done it without you :) x

I am currently working with this charity and I am involved with the development of our Education Prevention Plan. A shocking 86% of individuals affected by eating disorders develop symptons at secondary school. My work involves attending regular training days in London and as Ambassadors, we are working on training packs that are going to be sent out to schools to help teachers spot the signs of an eating disorder.

Next year, I hope to train to become a Young Healthcare Campaigner; this will enable me to ensure that the voices of young people are being heard when local Primary Care Trusts and Health Authorities are planning and creating new mental health services. I will also be speaking at events and health related conferences to educate others.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

It is National Eating Disorders Awareness Week, so thought it would be a nice idea to set up my online donation page. I have booked a sky dive (yes, most of you are probably aware that I am such a woss when it comes to things like this) but doing it for a charity like Beat really does put things into perspective. This charity is one that is very close to my heart. Beat is a charity that helps to raise awareness about eating disorders, which sadly takes away many people's lives each year. They are a UK charity for people within the UK with eating disorders and their families. Eating disorders are serious mental illnesses, which have devastating physical implications if not dealt with correctly. It is thought about 1.6 million people are affected within the UK. Beat provides helplines, information, online forums and self help groups to help people battle their eating disorder. Their vision is simple. eating disorders will be beaten.

Any amount of money donated is greatly appreciated, so please donate as much or as little as you can. The money I raise will go directly to the charity Beat, and will help them to continue to raise awareness and provide support to those suffering from eating disorders. They do provide such a fantastic service, and if you don't know much about it, take a look around their website: www.edauk.com.

Beat reach out to people when not many people can.

Thank you so much for your support,

Lots of love,

Kerry xx
