Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

In August 2001 as many of you know, whilst attempting to clean a skylight window in my flat, I fell about 15ft, broke both my heels & was unable to walk properly for 2 1/2 months. From my hospital bed at that time with both legs in plaster, I vowed that I would run the London Marathon & here I am 8 years later finally realising that aim! I wanted to do it before I was 40 & although I didn't quite make that, i will still be 40 when I run it in April.

I am running in memory of my beloved Nan, who died in July 2007, ultimately as a result of a stroke & have chosen to run it in aid of a charity called "Connect", which is a charity set up to help people with a condition called "Aphasia", which affects people's communication skills after having suffered from a stroke (see their website http://ukconnect.org or overleaf for more information).

This will be a big challenge for me & my feet!! & any assistance you can give me or support on the day (or along the way) will be most appreciated.

Thank  you

Kerry

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Connect - the Communication Disability Network gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

£100 will enable a person with aphasia to attend four counselling sessions.
£500 provides a much-needed information day for a group of people with
aphasia.
£1000 will pay for a whole term of music group sessions for people with
aphasia.
£1500 could pay for up to 5 people with aphasia to attend an Introduction to
Connect Day and an Enrolment Day

So please sponsor me now!
