Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
In August 2001 as many of you know, whilst attempting to clean a skylight window in my flat, I fell about 15ft, broke both my heels & was unable to walk properly for 2 1/2 months. From my hospital bed at that time with both legs in plaster, I vowed that I would run the London Marathon & here I am 8 years later finally realising that aim! I wanted to do it before I was 40 & although I didn't quite make that, i will still be 40 when I run it in April.
I am running in memory of my beloved Nan, who died in July 2007, ultimately as a result of a stroke & have chosen to run it in aid of a charity called "Connect", which is a charity set up to help people with a condition called "Aphasia", which affects people's communication skills after having suffered from a stroke (see their website http://ukconnect.org or overleaf for more information).
This will be a big challenge for me & my feet!! & any assistance you can give me or support on the day (or along the way) will be most appreciated.
Thank you
Kerry
