The way I have set up the Sponsored Slim means I have to consistently lose weight or the charity gets very little. I am asking for a weekly 'stake' of at least 10p. For every week I lose half a lb or more, you put your 'stake' into the charity pot. If I stay the same ot put on weight in any one week, you don't put anything in the charity pot. The most you would donate at the end, for a stake of 10p, is £2.50 - but only if I lose weight every week for the 26 weeks of this challenge. Please add your words of encouragement to the wall, any tips on interesting things to cook, things to snack on, I'll see how they fit into my Weight Watchers plan and adapt them if necessary. I will post regular updates and photos if appropriate. Thank you for your support.

I cannot seem to keep on a healthy lifestyle for longer than a week or 2. Nearly 8 years later, 1 child (honeymoon baby!!), I am now over 13 stone. My son is now nearly 7 and I cannot kid myself any more that it is still baby weight. My weight is due to me over eating and being virtually inactive (LAZY!!) for most of the day. I eat when I'm happy, I eat when I'm sad, I eat when I'm not hungry. I eat when I'm bored and I eat when I'm stressed. I find it impossible to say No if I'm offered food and I cannot understand what 'opening a big bag of Walkers Sweet Chilli Sensations or other crisps and leaving half til the next day' is all about. Did I mention I do like a glass or two of wine? To achieve this I will have to change my lifestyle, my routine, my cooking habits and my mental attitude. Be under no illusion this will be so hard for me as a serial 'Weight Watcher' for me. But I do not want to look back on the year and think "I wish I had made more effort. THIS IS THE YEAR I WILL LOSE WEIGHT AND THE CHALLENGE STARTED ON 5TH JANUARY 2011.

At the age of 26, I got married and weighed 11 stone and happy with it. Happy for any volunteers to join me in my challenge and raise money for my chosen charity!

My chosen charity is very close to me, those who know me well will know that I have a very lovely younger sister (2 years younger) who has Downs Syndrome. She is very opinionated, outgoing, independant and loud (we are so not alike!! LOL) She attends Mencap and Gateway at Norfolk Park Sheffield and they are celebrating their jubilee year this year. They help children and adults alike who have learning disabilites to make friends, become more independant and basically make theirs and their family like more like the rest of us! Me and my husband actually laugh that Nicola has a better social life than us, nightclubbing, partying, drinking etc!!

They have various services, groups, get togethers, youth clubs, drama clubs etc for people with learning disabilites from the age of 6+. they are currently setting their projects for this year so watch this space, but I would love to do this to help make their facilities better (I know they want to improve the sports hall for one!)

So please dig deep, let me know your pledge as the more I receive the more focused and driven I will be to make sure this is going to be my year and so I can help them too xxx
