Story
Hi to you all,
I am back again doing my fourth marathon, this time with a partner in crime, John Odwyer.
Johns wife, Maureen ( my mother in law) Like my wife Mandi both had breast cancer, and successfully got through their treatment.. unfortunately not everyone is so lucky, and they require the services of a hospice.
Having run the London Marathon last year, and raised a whopping £6.000 for Saint Frances Hospice, I am hoping with my running partner John to raise in excess of £15.000 this year.
We totally understand that this is a very difficult time, financially for a lot of people... but the same applies to the Hospice. They are in great need.
This is going to be John's first marathon, he only started running a year ago, and what a fantastic inspiration he is to me. He has managed to take my running to new level through all his hard graft and determination, and we make a fantastic team.
We are putting in all the miles, and we need you to donate generously to this fantastic cause.
Thank you very much.... Kevan and John. x x x x
P.S We will keep you updated on our progress as we go along.
UPDATE!! Hi all, our training is bang on target, we both have just completed the Brentwood half marathon, our timing is spot on with John coming in at 1:31 and myself at 1:32, much better than we anticipated, all our hard work is paying off,and we are on course for a sub 3:30 marathon, so those who have not donated yet please give generously....the hospice needs it.....XX
UPDATE!!
Well we did it...We are both really pleased with our time, John came in at 3.33, and myself at 3.34... It was bloody hard, but well worth it... Same time next year!!!!!
