Everest Base Camp 2016 · 13 October 2016 ·

The Steve Prescott Foundation was set up by a totally inspirational man Steve Prescott MBE. In 2006 he was diagnosed with Pseudomyxoma Peritonei a terminal cancer & sought out to raise funds for The Christie Hospital and the Rugby League Benevolent Fund. The SPF changes the lives of so many people.

Story

It's such an honour and a privilage to be involved in one of the big Steve Prescott Foundation Challenges. Steve was a true hero and to be taking part in an event to help raise a substantial amount for his good causes and continue his legacy is humbling.

I hope that any people visiting this page who are unfamiliar with Steve's story will take some time to find out a little more about him.

I have only just found out (17th March 2016) that the plan is to go beyond Everest Base Camp to a height of 5,643m above sea level ! That's over 18,500 feet in old money! Too late to back out now - I'd better get started on my training!

Just a note to say the challenge was a great success. It was an amazing experience and new friends made along the way. I believe all the fundraising goals were smashed so a great trip for all concerned. Thank you for all the kind donations.
