Recent events have got me thinking how fortunate I am to have my son Lewis whose serving in the 2nd battalion parachute regiment, and has been since 2005. 

Him returning home from Afghanistan has made me realise that not all of the families of service men and women in the armed forces, are as lucky as i am. I am taking part in this in the event, so that enough money will be raised to benefit members whom have, and are, serving in the airborne forces and the rest of the British Army.
