Story
We sadly lost Kevin on Sunday 5th April 2009. He had bravely battled with his illness MND since December 2002. He was very much loved by his wife Sarah who cared for him at home with help from the rest of the family. He was a wonderful father to Rebecca, Joe, Lewis, Tyler and Liberty, who all deeply miss him. His mum Thelma and dad Roy went to his home almost every day to help Sarah with his care. Kevin stayed positive throughout his illness and enjoyed many holidays with his family. Kevin always had a smile for us which we will never forget.
Kevin enjoyed his visits to St Richards Hospice, he found it very calming and relaxing and the staff were all very friendly and caring. St Richards Hospice was a great help to Kevin, Sarah and the family and offered a great deal of support throughout Kevin’s illness.
Kevin’s last week was spent at St Richard’s Hospice the staff took great care of Kevin and all of the family. Tyler and Liberty had their 3rd birthday during Kevin’s last week at the Hospice and the staff made sure it was a special day for them and provided birthday cakes, balloons, bouncy castle, surprise presents and even arranged for a fire engine to visit and allowed the twins inside the cab. It truly was a great day and much appreciated by all the family.
Kevin’s family would like other patients and families to also benefit from this wonderful calm and peaceful place to help them through their difficult times, therefore all donations would be much appreciated.
