I'm riding the Avon Cycle Marathon - again!
85 miles on lovely country lanes, waiting for herding cows, a stop at ye olde pub for a quick half and some cake, an ice cream at a seaside cafe, cygnets, kingfishers, woodpeckers... ...hmmm, who's going to sponsor me for that?!
Okay, take 2:
85 gruelling miles up hill and down dale taking a very circuitous route around the folds of Bristol's green skirt. Long strength-sapping hills. Ridiculously steep leg-burning hills. Only one gear, and a fixed one at that, so that after ascending the afore mentioned long and steep hills I have to pedal really fast on the descents. All that to finish exactly where I set off.
That's got to be worth sponsoring!
