Saturday 1 August: London Triathlon (co-racing with Mark Pollock) Sunday 20 September: Berlin Marathon My nominated charities for 2009 are both terrific projects based in Sri Lanka - I visited both of them earlier in the year and was very impressed with each: - The Tea Leaf Trust is a charitable foundation which supports disadvantaged tea workers in the island's central plantation area with education and amenities. More about it at www.tealeaftrust.com - The Sir Lanka Card Project mentors children from two orphanages in Colombo to make Christmas cards which are then sold throughout the world from www.srilankacards.com. The cards are great and this is another very worthwhile and growing initiative. If would like to sponsor me at 10p per kilometre, the total distance covered should come to 329.85km (not including training miles), ie about £33 quid. Times are hard, but please be as generous as you feel you can be.
