I am going to be running the 10 km BUPA Great Edinburgh Run on Sunday 3rd May 2009, to raise money for St. Johns Hospital, Livingston, Chest Unit Fund.
I am raising money for this cause as my father in law passed away at St. Johns after having received tremendous support, care and compassion from all the doctors, nurses and carers in the chest unit wards.
The Chest unit is desperate for funds to help purchase invaluable equipment, accessories, staff and ongoing training in their work to cure or fight the various chest related illnesses, so making the lives of those suffering as comfortable and painless as possible.
