The Rotary Club of Salisbury is holding its 5^th Charity Swimathon at the Godolphin School Pool on Saturday 28^th March 2009, I am very proud to be swimming for Rotary Arrows for the 2nd Year.

Thanks to the generosity of our Sponsors and the efforts of all the Teams, the event has raised £46,857 so far. With your help we are determined to break the £60,000 barrier this year for the following deserving Charities: - 

a.    The Wiltshire Air Ambulance which is entirely dependent upon public support to raise £350,000 a year to keep the service flying, this is only one quarter of the running costs of the helicopter; Wiltshire Police funds the remainder. 

b.     Samaritans of Salisbury and District which works for persons who are suicidal, despairing or in distress. The Salisbury office will receive over 40,000 calls per year. 

c.     The Salisbury Women's Refuge which provides a safe home for up to twelve women and their dependent children.
