We aim to get children better as soon as possible and to help us do this; we’re building a new state of the art extension that will transform Paediatric Care. The innovative £30 million building, due to open in summer, will dramatically improve the environment that children and adolescents are treated in and will benefit thousands of patients for generations to come.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; line-height: normal; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: black; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">We’ve asked children on our wards to tell us exactly what will improve their experience at KGH and together with our Paediatric Team we’ve produced a ‘Children's Wish List’ - this contains an array of creature comforts, play equipment, educational tools, games and toys, which are all designed to keep children busy, stimulated and happy!<span style="mso-spacerun: yes;"> </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin: 0cm 0cm 10pt; line-height: normal; mso-margin-top-alt: auto; mso-margin-bottom-alt: auto;"><span style="font-size: 12pt; color: black; mso-fareast-font-family: 'Times New Roman'; mso-bidi-font-family: Calibri; mso-bidi-theme-font: minor-latin; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;">Giving children easy access to educational tools when they are unable to attend school and providing new toys/games to play with when they don't have their friends around, all make an enormous difference to the physical and mental wellbeing of a child and consequently the speed of their recovery. Therefore we want to do all we can to provide the 'little extras' that make a BIG DIFFERENCE!</span></p>
