Flora London Marathon 2009 · 26 April 2009 ·

We raise funds for research that will lead to the successful treatment and eventual elimination of kidney disease. The lives of many people are seriously affected by kidney disease. Kidney failure is an extremely debilitating illness. Research is the only answer to find a prevention or a cure.

Story

On the 26th April the South West Thames Kidney Fund team will take to the roads of London, running the 26.2 mile London Marathon to raise vital funds for the kidney research at the South West Thames Institute for Renal Research at St Helier Hospital in Carshalton, Surrey.

This year, we have six enthusiastic runners on our team.  Each runner puts a huge effort into this fundraiser.  They train for months in all weathers and each raises his/her individual sponsorship for kidney research.

Please show your support for the team and the continuation of kidney research by making a donation on this page.  If you would like more information on the charity and the Research Institute, please go to www.kidneyfund.org.uk and www.swtirr.org.uk.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor the team: the South West Thames Kidney Fund gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

REMEMBER!

No Funding = No Research

No Research = No Cure

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
