April/May 09

Hi,

my name's Kieran Hill and this October I'm climbing Mt Kilimanjaro for the Hampshire Autistic Society. At this point in time I'm getting really excited about it and i can't wait for the 16th October to come.

First a bit about the charity and cause for my fundraising campaign. The Hampshire Autistic Society deals with people who suffer from autism across this county. They provide children and young adults education, as many of them cannot cope with the stress of the schooling social environment. The Society also provides carers and support groups for any who find it difficult to cope with their autism. However at this point in time there is no government support for the charities across the UK that provide support for those with autism. This means that all the support that is provided for these unfortunate souls is contributed by the general public. In other words, you and me. Good news is in the midst though as parliament is looking into a National Autistic Bill which will provide government support for autistic people across the UK.

Back to me, I'm currently in the beginning stages of my training, the good old going to the gym till you physically want to die. When you can't understand why your fitness is taking so long to improve, but things can only get better. As October gets nearer and nearer i'm looking more and more forward to this trip of a lifetime. So Onwards and Upwards till i reach the summit.

So please feel free to donate whatever you can, and remember its all for a good cause.

Regards,

Kieran Hill

The Slog continues, this month is gonna see a more solid commitment to an exercise regime that will probably kill me. As my father ever increasingly warns me I have to get my fitness up if I'm going to make it to the top of this mountain. So with a little huff and puff I've got to drag myself out of the house for atleast half an hour exercise everyday with a trip to the gym three times a week. Sounds like fun, I can't wait to get started

The main thing is to keep my goal in focus and continuing running, skipping, and lunging towards my fundraising target and the summit of Mt Kilimanjaro.

As before please help me with my trek up Mt Kilimanjaro by donating whatever you can.

God Bless,

Kieran Hill
