Story

<p><span style="font-family: &amp;amp;amp;amp; color: black; font-size: 11.5pt;">Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: &amp;amp;amp;amp; color: #333399; font-size: 11.5pt;">I have two lives. </span></p> <p><strong><span style="font-family: &amp;amp;amp;amp; color: black; font-size: 11.5pt;">Life 1</span></strong><span style="font-family: &amp;amp;amp;amp; color: black; font-size: 11.5pt;"> </span><span style="font-family: &amp;amp;amp;amp; color: red; font-size: 11.5pt;">-&nbsp;This lasted 38 years of which the last ten years were in end stage heart failure. Towards the end of that life, the simple task of making a cup of tea and bringing it back to the&nbsp;living room made me so tired that I sometimes fell asleep before drinking it.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: &amp;amp;amp;amp; color: #33cccc; font-size: 11.5pt;">Then on 31st July 2009, the kindness of a complete stranger and her family, combined with&nbsp;the expert skills at Papworth Hospital gave me a chance of a new life - life number two. My heart transplant was a complete success and many staff at Papworth Hospital have been, and still are,&nbsp;responsible for life number two; my incredible new life.</span></p> <p><strong><span style="color: #000000;"><span style="font-family: &amp;amp;amp;amp; color: black; font-size: 11.5pt;">Life 2 </span></span></strong><span style="font-family: &amp;amp;amp;amp; color: green; font-size: 11.5pt;">- In two and a half years I have returned to work, walked two marathons, climbed plenty of hills, cliffs and mountains, danced the night&nbsp;away many times, made endless cups of tea and drank them all, bounced up and down in the front row of gigs and last year I&nbsp;completed a 100 mile walk</span><span style="font-family: &amp;amp;amp;amp; color: black; font-size: 11.5pt;">. </span><span style="font-family: &amp;amp;amp;amp; color: green; font-size: 11.5pt;">The difference is truly amazing.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: &amp;amp;amp;amp; color: purple; font-size: 11.5pt;">I watched the very first London Marathon knowing I would never be able to do&nbsp;it myself&nbsp;and envied all&nbsp;those&nbsp;who could. Now, in my second life,&nbsp;I'm learning how to run and am about to make my (almost) lifelong dream come true by running in the 2012&nbsp;London Marathon.&nbsp;</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: &amp;amp;amp;amp; color: purple; font-size: 11.5pt;">Please help me along the 26.2 miles by sponsoring me for&nbsp;Papworth Hospital Charity&nbsp;- a&nbsp;place where their&nbsp;care and expertise really does save lives.</span></p> <p><span style="font-family: &amp;amp;amp;amp; color: black; font-size: 11.5pt;">Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
