Edinburgh Marathon 2012 - Full Marathon · 27 May 2012 ·

Over 150,000 of us in the UK have MS. It’s unpredictable and different for everyone. But it doesn’t have to be this way. We’re the MS Society. We understand what life’s like with MS. We're here for you through the highs, lows and everything in between. Together, we are strong enough to stop MS.

Story

I hate asking people for money.

But then again, I also hate running, so I might as well do both.

I'm the West Lothian Courier's sports reporter and I want your cash.

I'm running a marathon to raise money for a multiple sclerosis charity after my sister's partner was diagnosed with the illness earlier this year.

The truth is that the marathon idea came first, after a few drinks and a bet in a pub. But once my pal and I agreed to attempt it, fundraising for the MS Society made perfect sense.

Now raising money for the charity is the most important thing and I want your help.

If you can't decide whether to donate or not, have a look at the blog I've been running and see how much I've been struggling!

I've no experience in running and I started the challenge nearly two stone overweight, so I'll definitely be working for the money!

So please dig deep and donate now.
