Hi and thanks for visiting my page to raise money for the Havens Hospices Kilimanjaro, Feb 2010 trek.

Some background:
I am Ben Crabb, a 27 year old account manager with Michelin Tyre PLC.
I want to do this trek in memorium of my father, Brian Stanley Crabb, who passed away on the 2nd January 2009 after a long battle with cancer. Although Brian did not directly use the services of Havens, he was cared for by MacMillan Nurses, who use the Havens Hospice group as their base in this area.

Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, Africa is 5896 metres high, making it the highest free-standing mountain in the world and will challenge me with rough terrain, forest trails and ice glaciers. The trek will push me to my physical and mental limits as I battle to overcome the trails themselves, the altitude sickness, the weather and the cold as the summit beckons.

It's going to be a hard battle, I'm not anywhere near fit enough yet so there is training to be done and on top of that, I have to get the required funds raised in order to go on the trek... I am NOT going to fail!
