Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Nigel, Nick, Rob and Jed are donning there walking boots and embarking on the most exhilarating adventure of their lives to climb Kilimanjaro on behalf of the Burns Unit at Birmingham Childrens Hospital.

The idea was suggested to us by Charlotte Tongue, who works as a sister on the the Burns Unit. With our assistance and your generosity Charlotte is hoping that we can raise enough money for a new High Dependency Bed for the ward.

This bed would make such a huge difference to those unfortunate children who have suffered the horrible experience of being burned, their treatment would be greatly enhanced, encouraging them to a speedier recovery.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. About the charity

It's bewildering and unsettling for anyone going into hospital but especially for children and that is why we are a fundraising hospital. We raise funds to enhance the experience of our patients by providing state of the art medical equipment and facilities and creating a child-friendly environment.
