Story
As Coronavirus hit the UK, two friends came up with a madcap idea;
How hard can it be to build a canoe?
I am Tim, and alongside my friend and colleague Ian, have spent the past few weeks building two canoes. As they near completion it seems only right to put our handiwork to the test, thus Kilworth Canoe 200 is born.
Each year, with the help of our audiences and hotel guests, Kilworth House donate tens of thousands to charity through fundraising events, theatre blanket hire and our Take a Pew initiative.
With Covid-19, it has not been possible for these events and donations to take place, so we are setting out on our mini-adventure to raise some money for Charity.
Between September 1st - 11th, we will be paddling 200km in our canoes, from London to Kilworth House in aid of Cancer Research UK.
We will be completely self-sufficient on the trip, carrying our food, camping equipment and our cameras to film and keep you updated from start to finish.
We have set £4000 as our initial fundraising target, £1 for every 50 metres we paddle.
Please do sponsor us and help us to raise vital funds for Cancer Research UK.
