They work to fulfil their mission and vision of enabling all parents in the UK to have an enriching experience of pregnancy, birth and early parenthood. Their purpose is to provide support and evidence-based information in pregnancy, birth and early days of parenthood.They want all parents to feel confident about their maternity care. They campaign to improve the services and facilities for new parents, and provide essential services and information to give them a chance to make informed choices.

 

 

How your funds can help?

£100 can provide over 10 hours of breastfeeding counselling to new mums

through our helpline

£250 can pay for 3 months of training for one of our specialist workers to run

our antenatal and postnatal courses for parents throughout the UK

£500 can provide 10 hours of antenatal support for a group of teenage single

mothers

£1000 can provide 100 hours of information to expectant and new parents

through our pregnancy and birth and enquiries helplines

£2000 can pay for the set up costs of a local Bumps and Babes group

providing new and expectant parents with ongoing mutual support

 

Im Currently teaching Antenatal classes as a Student and will qualify soon (I hope )

Before deciding to do this i had no confidence or direction in life, until i met some great women at the local NCT branch (Battle, Rye & Hastings) who saw that i had the potential to be a great teacher because of my total amazement and interest in anything to do with pregnancy, birth and parenting.

So here i am  with new found and ever growing confidence and a burning desire to try new things, im embarking on a Trek Across The Great Wall of China in October 2010 in Aid of the NCT,  I feel i need to give something back to the NCT because of  all the support i have recieved during my training.

For Those of you that know me, this will be the first time i have ever been away without Steve or the five kids, So i will be  alone, I will miss them all very much  but hope to meet and make new Friends on this exciting Journey and come back with some Fab stories.
