Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I have decided to run Glasgow Half Marathon in aid of The National Osteoporosis Society

My reason for choosing this charity is i have learned over the last year how osteoporosis (often referred to as "fragile bone disease") can effect your daily life, my wee granny Alice suffers from osteoporosis and struggles with sore bones every day and night
Usually osteoporosis is found in elderly people but after a
bone density scan last year I was told I have Osteoperina (the beginning of osteoporosis) in my spine, I am only 27 and I have the spinal bone density of a 47 year old - all that can be prescribed is plenty of weight-bearing exercise and calcium........So I thought running 13 miles will help strengthen my spine and also raise some money for a worthy cause!!!!
Please dig deep and sponsor as much as possible, also send this link to family and friends for their help too

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: National Osteoporosis Society gets your money faster and, if you’re a taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!

MANY THANKS xxx
