I am a Practice Nurse working locally and as a Practice we use St David's Hospice for our patients who are terminally ill with cancer. The Hospice offers support and advice not only to the patient but also to the family's and carers.

In 2001 my husband and I raised over £7000 for the charity. After some years of considering doing the marathon I have finally taken the plunge and feel if i'm going to put myself through hours of punishing training and hopefully completing the  marathon then I would have a sense of greater acheivment doing it for a worthwhile cause.
