I was at a Women in Logistcs event recently and was fortunate enough to sit at a table with Clare Bottle who mentioned Transaid as the Charity of choice for this group to support which lead to her telling me about the Cycle ride through Madagascar (something she is also doing). Even before she finished speaking I knew I wanted to do it.
So after careful consideration and talking to my wonderful boss at Woodland Global and family members I decided to sign up 4 days later. My aim is simple to raise as much money as is possible through any means that I can, the target is the minimum I need in order to participate. I already have offers of training partners and training tips of which I am going to have to have a whole heap of I feel. Not least Mike who built the exercise bike for me!!
It would seem that just in these few days after siging up I have offers of various fundriasing efforts. I am delighted that at this early stage the charity is capturing the heart of so many. All I need to now is to convert that to donations and for that I need your help PLEASE.
