St Elizabeth Hospice improves life for people with a progressive illness. Our work centres around individual needs, with specialist support, wherever required, at home, in the community or at the hospice. Each year the hospice needs to generate £12m, of this 70% comes from the local community.

Story

And another Walk...

Lisa is undertaking the 13 mile midnight walk on 10th May 2014 - any text donations received will go onto this page. Why am i doing the walk and why for the hospice...read on...

I am fundraising for the hospice because of the amazing work they do. The hospice have supported my family on more than one occasion - this is a small way of being able to say thank you and give a little something back by raising awareness and hopefully some financial support along the way.

In previous years between myself and my lovely friend Kate we've walked the walk in our bras in London & Edinburgh, dipped in the north sea on Christmas day (as you know), undertaken 8 milies in Ipswich for fun and completed a challenge walk in Bury St Edmunds.

In 2014 there's no decorated bras involved and we're staying local! Challenge number one selected is the St Elizabeth Hospice midnight walk in Ipswich (we're looking for a Bury one close to home for Kate as well) and we will be walking 13 miles through Ipswich. The outfits are already chosen, and the trainers are coming out for training - if we're going to walk, we're going to power walk it!

The hospice do an amazing job and we want to support them in this small way - please support us! To donate by text send the following LELM80 £amount of choice to 70070

How your sponsorship could help:
£30 could help to provide a Hospice at Home nurse telephone support call
£100 could help to provide an art therapy session
£270 could help to provide a day care visit for one patient
£480 is the average cost per day of one bed on the Inpatient Unit

Thank you x

February 2012 - and now a walk......

As some of you may know in previous years Lisa has taken part in the London Moonwalk. This year she isn;t, but for fun she thought she'd do the Ipswich Midnight in aid of St Elizabeth Hospice in May. This page is live until 2016, so it seems only right that any money raised through sponsorship for the walk also sits here. So please dig deep - the target has increased to £1000, and it would be great to reach it! Not want to donate online? Then why not text dips99 followed by amount of your choice to 70070. Thank you x

THANK YOU!! To everyone who sponsored us, supported us and told us we were mad - without you we wouldn't have raised such an amazing amount for St Elizabeth Hospice. As I type this we have raised £927, and for those that wanted some proof the picture is there!

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

On Christmas Day we will be taking some time out to take a dip in the North Sea to raise funds for the amazing cause that is St Elizabeth Hospice in memory of Iris King.

The hospice do a great job and offered support and care to both Iris and the rest of our family recently.

The sea will be blinking freezing, so please think of us whilst you're opening your presents and tucking into your bacon sarnies as we'll be dressed as fairies ready to freeze our bits off!

Thank you to everyone who has sponsored us so far - we are extremely grateful for all your support. To have reached almost 80% of our target with just under 2 weeks to go is amazing and shows just how valuable the work of the hospice is to so many people. It's also going to make 'dipping' on Christmas day that little bit more bearable too!

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
