KING'S SCHOOL - EVEREST BASE CAMP 2008

13 Sixth Formers and 3 staff from The King's School Grantham, have taken 170kg of Mountain Rescue Equipment to to help the local porters.  We trekked to Everest Base Camp and personally delivered a stretcher to the Porter Rescue Centre at Gorak Shep being built by Community Action Nepal.  The stretcher was used within 48 hours to help evacuate an injured climber!  We are also trying to raise £5000 to help CAN build a school in Nepal.
