Kinvig Three Peaks Challenge · 15 June 2013 to 17 June 2013 ·

African Steps works on Likoma Island, Malawi, in partnership with St Peter's Hospital, to provide healthcare for some of the world's poorest and most remote people. We ensure that St Peter’s stays open. We supply vital drugs and medical equipment and have constructed essential hospital buildings.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our Just Giving page. We are raising  money to help fund a life saving solar power project being run by African Steps and Global Sunrise. We are climbing the 3 highest mountains in the UK in 24 hours. We are starting at Ben Nevis, Scotland, then travelling to Sca Fell, England and climbing it over night, then we are finishing with Snowdon the next afternoon. This is a massive physical and mental challenge so please support us and help us provide solar power to a hospital in Malawi.

African Steps will install solar power at St Peter's Hospital Likoma Island, to prevent the suffering and deaths which are occurring every single day as a result of the current lack of electricity. Solar power will transform the health care at the hospital for the 10,000 people who live on Likoma and for approximately 70,000 people from neighbouring Mozambique and Tanzania, for whom St Peter's is the nearest medical facility.
