Base Camp Everest Challenge · 2 November 2013 to 17 November 2013 ·

Isabel Hospice exists to journey alongside people during some of life's most difficult times. Offering expert compassionate care, advice and support those living with progressive, life-limiting illnesses. Our care is free of charge to those who need it, but it is not without cost.

Story

So I'm going to be trekking from Lukla to Everest Base Camp and back in 12 days this November! The itinerary states that I will be walking for between 5 and 8 hours per day, I think they might be joking so I'm thinking of packing my bikini just in case...I hear it's really close to the sun up there!

Seriously though, the Isabel Hospice is a local charity to me, they provide an invaluable and, sometimes, in my opinion, underestimated, service. We need these people in our lives because not every battle is for winning but, every battle is for fighting.
