I started the Clipper Race challenge last year and have completed all 4 training weeks. It has been a long but worthy process and I am now ready to start the race of a lifetime. I am going to be completing legs 7 and 8. This involves starting in Seattle, racing to the Panama canal against 10 other identical boats. We then race from Panama up the East coast of America. I then start leg 8 which takes me over the North Atlantic and will arrive in Europe (unknown as to where as yet), then the last race from there, finishing in London (I hope!). If you would like to be a supporter and keep abreast of the race please let me know and I will pass on the details.

I have recently been allocated the boat I will be sailing on and I am delighted to say that it is the big blue UNICEF boat. I can't think of a better charity. UNICEF has an excellent reputation with its work with vulnerable children all over the world. The boat crew will be visiting some of the projects as it goes around the world to see the extent of their involvement and what they achieve.

I am looking to raise as much money as possible for this worthy cause. All of the money raised will go directly to UNICEF (I have sorted out my own funding) to help support the most vulnerable children around the world. Any donation, small or large :) would be gratefully welcomed. Obviously if it was big then that would be fantastic lol.
