Albert Bartlett Edinburgh Marathon 2009 · 31 May 2009 ·

We’re the only UK charity looking after the nation’s lungs. We offer hope, help and a voice. We fund research to find new treatments and cures. We support people who struggle to breathe to take control of their lives and we campaign for better lung health.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Ok, so I decided ages ago that I would one day run a Marathon and that day has finally come.  I have stopped the smoking, cut down massively on the vino and am in the gym so often my muffin top is shrinking daily. Woo Hoo!

I am running for the Lung Foundation Scotland in Memory of my Uncle James who died of lung disease in January 2007.  Both my sisters jumped out of a plane to raise money but since I hate planes I thought this would be a more appropriate way for me to raise cash.

There are 4 of us in total running the marathon, each for different charities.  John Moffat, Iain Cunningham and Robert Wallace are also running so if you are fortunate to know all four of us, please can you think of the maximum that you can afford to sponsor and split it between the four of us.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: British Lung Foundation Scotland & Northern Ireland gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!
