As some of you already know we're planning to cycle across Britain. We'll be starting in John O'Groats on the 26th of August and heading down to Land's End to (hopefully) finish on the 10th of September. Its 1000 miles so we're a litlle nervous but we've been training hard and what better to motivate us than your support and donations?!
We've chosen to support the Wessex Cancer Trust which is a regional charity that not only provides funding for research, but also provides a personal service for cancer patients. This is a cause close to our hearts as we've both been witness to the devastation cancer can bring in both our personal and academic lives. Ongoing research is obviously important for the prevention of future suffering. However, for those who have unfortunately already been diagnosed we believe that sanctuaries run by the Wessex Cancer Trust, like Jane Scarth House in Romsey, provide a vital source of emotional support which is why we're committed to fundraising for this charity.
As Wessex Cancer Trust is a fairly small charity we feel that your donations will have a bigger impact so please donate generously.
