Kent, Kate, Natasha and Casper do stuff for Buddhafield!
Our little family has pledged to raise money to help Buddhafield own a piece of land which is very dear to our hearts. To do this: Kent ran a half marathon over the South Downs on Sunday 26th September.
Kate and Natasha will be selling various hand-crafted felt items (watch out for our stalls at various events) and Casper will be helping us sell stuff (felt and possibly cakes on the bridge in Lewes). What we are raising money for In 2006 Buddhafield bought 17 acres of gorgeous land in Dartmoor National Park called Frog Mill. It cost £85,000 and Buddhafield has done very well to pay off over £50,000 but there is still £35,000 to go. The land is used to hold some of Buddhafield's larger retreats and has a salmon spawning river, the Blackaton Brook flowing through it and is home to kingfishers, dippers and a host of other wildlife. The land will be developed along permacultural lines, creating a sustainable and beautiful environment for Buddhafield events and the wider community. The aim for this tranquil site is to develop a magical and safe environment, providing the opportunity for adults and children to experience connection with the land, hopefully for many years into the future.
