The Helen Rollason Cancer Care Centres have proved to be invaluable to patients with cancer. They provide supportive care to patients and thier carers including reflexology, aromatherapy, counselling and patient information. In addition, various support groups are frequently organised to enable patients to talk to others who have been through similar experiences.
Our aim in running the GNR is to raise money and awareness for these centres which function entirely on charitable donations. Due to the recession, we may all be feeling the pinch but some things are worth the effort and every penny counts. We chose this race, as it is famous for being the most iconic (and gruelling) half marathon on the planet, so please make all our effort and training worthwhile and sponsor us. A small donation by you will make such a massive difference to those who really need it.
