We did it!
Ben and I walked across the treacherous Morecambe Sands on 26th July. We were told that normally this would have been extremely dangerous - quicksands, unpredictable tides and currents and wading across the fast flowing River Kent as it meets the sea! We could see why!!!

The quicksands were really amazing and very obviously dangerous!!

We did get very wet!

Our walk was led by Cedric Robinson - The Queen's Official Guide to the Sands - He took us right out into the Bay towards Morecambe itself before turning back towards Grange and Kents Bank - a total distance of 10 miles.
