Story
Hi, thanks for visiting this page ... although it's set up in my name, this challenge is actually going to be a joint effort between, myself, Misha Anker and hopefully a few more otherwise sane people
We are planning to knit a scarf continuously during a 25 hour marathon comedy show being staged by the comedian Mark Watson and his many friends and helpers.
This will take place over one night and a day - 28th February/1st March 2013 at the Pleasance Theatre in Islington, North London and is part of the Red Nose Day 25 years fundraising event which will be televised on 15th March.
All of the money raised by the many challenges taking place, including ours, will go to Comic Relief to help them fight poverty and social injustice.
We are therefore asking our friends and families to donate whatever they can. They can do this in two ways:-
Donate a lump sum now as you have every faith in us and know we will complete the task!
Sponsor so many pence/pounds per inch or centimetre or foot (any measurement is fine).
If you wish to take the second option, just e.mail me at cathy.penrose@btinternet.com and "pledge" an amount per inch or other measurement. Once the challenge is complete, I can then let you know how long the scarf is and how much money you need to donate through this page. (this will be backed up by photo and video evidence!)
At the end of the 25 hours, we are planning to either give the scarf as a gift to Mark or maybe to auction or sell it to raise more funds for the charity.
If you would like to know more about Mark and his 25 hour show, visit his blog here www.markwatsonthecomedian.com/2013/01/twenty-five-hours
Thanks in advance for your generosity!
