Story

Thanks for visiting our fundraising page.

This page was set up by Mark Walters, Laila Marafie, Anne-Laure Weston, Simon Gray, Karen Dewar and Iain O'Connor

We're just back from Komabangou in Niger where we visited 7 local villages and witnessed the real challenges facing these communities.  While there we made a pledge to raise enough money to complete the building of a school in the area.  At the moment the children are learning in makeshift huts which do not survive the wet season and are easily destroyed by animals.  The area is in a gold mining region where conditions are extemely harsh and education can offer real hope to the children of the area.  £20,000 will build a classroom and any additional funding we raise over and above this will go to supporting development in Komabangou.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. World Vision Uk gets your money fast and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank You!
