We are Renewable World. We enable people living in poverty to transform their lives by improving their access to clean energy, empowering them to develop sustainable and resilient livelihoods, and mitigating the impact of climate change.

Story

You've probably all been asked by one of us to support a fundraising challenge in the past but this time it's different.

On 1st of August we will be competing in the London Triathlon Renewable Energy Challenge to raise funds for the charity we work for  - The Koru Foundation. Ewan will bravely be doing the individual sprint distance and Keith, Nicola and Peter will be doing the team relay.

The Koru Foundation carries out renewable energy projects in developing countries and your sponsorship will help us to reach more poor communities and improve their access to health, education and employment by enabling people to cook food, pump clean water, power homes, schools, heath centres and run small businesses in a sustainable way.

A donation of £10 could buy a solar lantern for a Ugandan refugee to replace a polluting and expensive paraffin lamp and if 35 of you were to donate £10 then we could even buy a 200w wind turbine to provide a poor household with electricity.

And if that doesn't sound like reason enough to support us, then surely the fact that Nicola is going to be swimming in the Thames deserves your sponsorship!

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: The Koru Foundation gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us now!

Thanks,

Keith, Ewan, Nicola and Peter
