Our personal message:

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page; On the 30/08/2008 Myself, Joanne Toone (my fiancee) and Stephen Noble (my stepbrother) will be walking the Pennine Bridleway National Trail, 130 miles, in just 3.5 days. We are doing this for the British Heart Foundation as so many people are affected by heart and circulatory problems. On the 16/12/2007 Michael Toone, Joanne's father, passed away suddenly. Aged just 49, he left a wife, four children and one grandchild. In honour of Michael we wanted to raise awareness of the good work that the British Heart Foundation do and thanks to Lloyds TSB this has been possible.

'From today the British Heart Foundation (BHF) will become the Group's chosen charity, a relationship which will run until June 2010.  Working together, the Group aims to raise £2 million over the two years of the relationship. 

This will fund at least 15 new BHF Heart Nurses in local communities, providing specialist care and support to improve the physical and emotional health of more than 8,400 heart patients and their families.

The British Heart Foundation is 'the nation's heart charity'. It is dedicated to saving lives through pioneering research, patient care, campaigning for change and providing vital information to help people care for their own heart health.  Lloyds TSB is determined to help BHF make a difference and will work alongside the BHF, for the next 2 years, on campaigns to get its healthy heart message across to everyone.'
