Story

Completed the 907 miles on Tuesday the 2nd Aug, it took us 8 1/2 days and only 2 punctures. We had lots of people join us along the way which added to the fun. Donations are still coming in and are gratefully received. We will be back on our bikes soon to get fit for the fast approaching point-to-point season!!! Thank you x

Updated on Jul 13th 2011 at 9:33 PM from the JustGiving AP

To add to our total we have already received £1970 in cheques from some very kind sponsors!!!! Thank you

The night before we drive up to John O'Groats, Bikes all loaded on to the bike rack, I actually know how to take a bike wheel off now! Food, drinks, first aid, repair kit, oh and hair dryer!

Need to thank my brother Harry Williams for the very kind loan of his truck X

Jane Williams and Lorna Brooke both amateur jockeys are cycling from John O'Groats to Lands End in aid of the Injured Jockeys Fund.

The decision to do this challenge was made very easy for us when another amateur jockey, Isabel Tompsett suffered a bad fall at Fakenham in a hurdle race on the 22nd May 2011.

The Injured Jockeys Fund provides medical, financial and pastoral care to jockeys who have suffered through injury. The Fund responds quickly to all cases where help is required with varying levels and types of support, but whatever the need they will always ensure the closest of care and attention.

We travel to Scotland on the 24th July and start from John O'Groats on the 25th July 2011 and will cycle 900 miles in 8 days (depending on other fund raising oportunities along the way) until we reach Lands End. We will have to average 115 miles a day to achieve this.

We would love your support and kind donations to this wonderful charity.

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
