Lake Vyrnwy 100 Cycle Challenge · 15 November 2009

Severn Hospice provides specialist care and emotional support for families in Shropshire, Telford & Wrekin and Mid Wales living with an incurable illness. All our care is provided for free, but it is not without cost - we have to raise £2 for every £3 we spend. It's because you care that we can.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

A sponsored bike ride is taking place on 15th November 2009 inviting cyclists, families, etc to take part in the Lake Vyrnwy 100.

The challenge is to cycle 10 laps, over 100 miles, around Lake Vyrnwy in Powys to raise money for Severn Hospice, Macmillan Cancer Support and Marie Curie Care on Sunday November 15th.

The event is being held to raise money for the charities in memory of Matthew Jones, or Mash as he was known, who lost his battle against cancer earlier this year. We want to raise vital funds for these charities who offered so much support.

The circuit of the lake is just over 11 miles and provides a steady ride on the mostly flat terrain and provides some excellent views.
