Story
I grew up in a household with a partially Deaf mum and sister. This is why I started learning BSL. I love my second language and my small place in the Deaf community.
In my work in stage lighting I am regularly in loud environments for prolonged periods of time. In my bag I always carry my ear defenders, some sharpies and LX tape. I'm always amazed how many people put their hearing at risk, both on the professional side and punter side of the events industry.
I hope to help Action on Hearing Loss continue their great work supporting Deaf and hearing people in the UK.
So if you can spare some money for a donation I'd be really grateful. Do it because you like me, or if you don't do it because this run will most probably hurt and make feel unpleasent for a number of days.
Here's some stuff Just giving wrote about how they aren't going to rip you off or sell your details. Aren't they lovely?
