The North West Air Ambulance (NWAA) is the only regional medical air emergency service covering Greater Manchester, Cheshire, Merseyside, Lancashire and Cumbria. Costing £1.9 million a year to maintain, the NWAA covers all major road traffic incidents, serious sports accidents and incidents in areas with poor and restricted road access.

is the official site of the Northukbikers charity ride on a moped from Preston to John O'Groats and back to Preston. Starting on the 10th June 2008, on a 1998 Honda SGX50 Moped, the journey is  around 1000 miles, which will be done in 4 days.

*UPDATE*
I am pleased to announce that 4techmoto, ( www.4techmoto.co.uk ) are sponsoring the ride with the moped being prepped and serviced by them!

ASDA are also assisting with regard to PR and feeding us at stores along the way!
